W. Massie was born about 1844; he married
Martha S. Ford 20 Oct 1864 in Ohio County; they had four children: Zenober (female) born 3 Jan 1874; Nancy E. (female)
born 1869 ; Nora M. (female) born 14 Jul 1868 – 23 Apr 1931; and Elesha S. (male)
born 1865.
The following story ran in early November, 1875, about the family.
About a week later, on 17 November 1875, we have "the rest of the story."
