Col. John Hardin McHenry, Jr.

     Col. John Hardin McHenry, Jr. was born in Ohio County 21 Feb 1832 and died in Owensboro 7 Jul 1893; he is buried in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro.  Col. McHenry married Josephine (Josie) Phillips and they had five children: Sue D., Martine, Jennie, Starling, and Junius Hardin.  Col. McHenry was an attorney and he also served as Postmaster of Owensboro from 1891 till his death.  His father was John Hardin McHenry, Sr. and his mother was Hannah Davis.
