Gentry Family - Early Pioneers in Ohio County
The following was found in "Early Families of Hart Township, Vol 5, Some of the Gentrys in Warrick County, Indiana" published by the DAR in 2010, and compiled by Phyllis Morris Jamison. This book states that the earliest Gentry (known to the author) was Joseph Gentry (1728-1813 Virginia), who had 10 children, one of which was son Samuel (1750/60 Virginia - after 1816 Barren County, KY); and the following are descendants of Samuel (Samuel is referred to below as #3):
