I have a copy of the marriage certificate and even though it is listed as John S Buckley, if you look at it closely it is a John F. Buckley, as in John Franklin Buckley, known as Frank. He is Orpha's father. If you would like any information I will be glad to share it with you. sandilou1959@gmail Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14019763655876444581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1283358229478890204.post-86872872778886423632018-09-09T13:36:16.985-07:002018-09-09T13:36:16.985-07:00Lucy Lou: Sorry but I cannot answer your question....Lucy Lou: Sorry but I cannot answer your question. Try to contact James E. Swain - he lives in Frankfort, KY. Orpha Tilton Buckley shows in public trees on Ancestry.com (1884-29 Apr 1955) as the daughter of John Franklin Buckley and Mary Buckley. Apparently that Orpha married Bailey Cephus Jamison. I do not find a Swain connection (but I'm not saying there wasn't one). I have Laura Lela Swain (1860-15 Jul 1887) being married to John S. Buckley and having a daughter named Orpha - and I have notes from the Will that you mention. Your info about Orpha being married to a Jamison is new to me. Thanks.Charles A. She is my great great maternal grandmother and I can find little about her. My great grandmother's name Was Orpha Buckley Jamison. Family oral history syays she died soon after orpha's death but not where or why. I found the death of a Laura Swain in Evansville, Indiana in 1887 but I cannot confirm this is her. Family history also states she married John Frank Buckley, not John S. Buckley. Laura Lelah is mention in Eliza Morton Swain's will as deceased and her portion of the estate was left to her daughter Orpha Buckley.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14019763655876444581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1283358229478890204.post-23920048725196266432017-12-12T16:32:16.015-08:002017-12-12T16:32:16.015-08:00The SWAINs Henry and More are buried on the side o...The SWAINs Henry and More are buried on the side of the hill at the family Farm. You go past the barn, past the little cemetery inside of the fence, to the trees on the hill that overlook the green river. You must brush away leaves to find the stones. They are the kind that you lay over the graves. There is a treasure of information there.<br />Jim Swain, Frankfort, KYAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02439008035333232629noreply@blogger.com
